Mr. Prakash Morey has been designing & fostering furniture since 1980, opening the first Nirmitee Store in 1987.
With fundamental strengths, fierce passion for new designs, distinctive taste & uncompromising product quality, he established brand ‘Nirmitee’ as the first ever one-stop-destination for all things Furniture in Pune!
Mr. Prakash Morey always believed in Going Beyond Furniture! He spent his early years travelling around the world in search of unique accent pieces and one-of-a-kind artefacts, a tradition he continues to follow even today. With a strong passion for the arts and an eye for detail, he has devoted over 30 years of his life in nurturing this collection.
His love for artefacts took him across the seven seas and continents as he travelled across Europe, Africa, South East Asia to collect the distinct art pieces. He has also travelled indigenously to explore the artisans and artefacts across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi and South India. The collection created a buzz among the architect community so much so that he started sourcing and shipping the artefacts to numerous architects and designers for their residential & commercial projects.
Collecting arts and artefacts has always been a passion project for Mr. Prakash More, but in 2019 he decided to take it to the next level. While continuing to consult & cater to various architecture & design projects, he introduced a new range of furniture and accent pieces in all Nirmitee stores that keep this 35 year old brand relative and catering to the newer market.
Introducing Nirmitee’s boutique home decor and furniture range- now available at two locations in Pune,The Gallery continues the brand’s 35 year old legacy of well-crafted furniture along with a new range of products such as fabric, lights and other home accessories.

We also take on turnkey projects and can help you design your home by customizing everything according to your needs and measurements.
Spearheaded by Mr. Prakash Morey himself, the legacy of Nirmitee is now pursued by his daughter Ms. Pratima Morey. With a Post-Graduate Degree in Fashion Marketing & Management from the prestigious Raffles Design Institute, Singapore, Pratima has also worked with world renowned fashion houses such as Kate Spade. With Pratima, we can witness the perfect blend of business insights coupled with her expertise in design and fashion management that has enabled ‘The Gallery’ to be a premium boutique store that aims at offering unique, distinctive and curated accent pieces to its patrons for all kinds off spaces!
